Following the phenomenal success of his last biking adventure from Sydney to Tokyo, the intrepid actor, adventurer and author Charley Boorman has decided to take a break from trekking around the world and stay a little closer to home. Fret not, he hasn’t lost the travelling bug just yet! The King of the Road will instead be touring the UK and Ireland with a brand new live show. We have teamed up with the Palace Theatre to promote their competition to offer three lucky readers the chance to see The Charley Boorman Show at the Palace Theatre on Saturday March 20, 2010 at 7.30pm.
The star of the hugely popular ‘Long Way Round’, ‘Long Way Down’, ‘Race To Dakar’ and ‘By Any Means…’ journeys will be live on stage for an evening of chat and hilarious anecdotes from his worldwide escapades. This is accompanied by some never before seen video footage from his trips – on a mammoth screen. This is Boorman laid bare!
Charley is the epitome of the modern adventurer in pursuit of spontaneous challenges and his two-wheeled exploits have been followed by fans across the world. The ‘Charley Boorman Live’ Show is jam-packed with anecdotes on how he put his endurance to the test for some truly awe-inspiring experiences. If that’s not enough, Charley’s special guest on the show is Simon Pavey, the famous Dakar Rally veteran who will tell the inside story on working with Charley on ‘Race to Dakar’ – the highs and the lows. This show is not to be missed!
