A WIDNES man has been named by the courts after being charged with managing a brothel.
Lewis Loftus is set to appear before the courts to face a charge of keeping or managing a brothel used for prostitution.
The particulars of the charge allege that the 30-year-old managed a brothel at Margaret Court in Widnes.
The dates of the alleged offending are from September 25, 2021, to October 29, 2023.
The particulars of the charge further allege that the premises were somewhere ‘to which people resorted for practices involving prostitution’.
The alleged activity is contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 1956.
Loftus, of Margaret Court, is due to make a first appearance in relation to the allegation before Warrington Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday.
